The Greater Manchester Branch of the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland Chapter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have embarked on an aggressive membership mobilisation drive, to recruit new members.

At the branch's first official social interaction meeting under the auspices of the new executive team, four new members were issued their membership documents.

The Chairman of the Manchester Branch of the NDC,Francis Aweso, expressed the new team's readiness to deliver its core aspirations: productive membership mobilisation, effective communication, regular branch activities and strategic fundraising.

He said that, to ensure effective communication for the Manchester UK Branch, a new communication team is being put together with professional assistance from a communications consultant and lecturer, Dr Francis Gbadago, who himself is a member of the Communications team of the Manchester UK NDC branch.

According to Aweso, the branch was poised to adopt an innovative, proactive, and organic leadership style that would accept constructive input and criticism from members to strengthen its feedback mechanism and deliver excellent service.

He also reiterated the National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah's assurance stating that members of the party should wait patiently for their turn for appointments, as not everyone could be appointed by the current administration at the same time but rather in phases.
