Brainest Educare Limited has announced plans to take its flagship academic competition beyond Ghana after attracting more than 2,000 students from about 100 schools, including participants from the UK, Canada, and the United States.

Speaking to the media on July 11, 2026, Chief Executive Officer Hilda Karroum described the fifth edition of the competition as its biggest yet, saying the growing international participation has strengthened expansion plans.

"It was the best. Participants came from across the country and, in fact, international students from the UK, Canada, and the US also participated online," she said.

Karroum disclosed that the organisers are also planning to expand the competition across Ghana to ensure students outside the major cities get the opportunity to participate.

"Very soon, it will be international. We'll take this programme to other countries beyond Ghana. We are not just centred in Accra, Kumasi, and Tamale. We'll come everywhere," she stated.

She encouraged participants who did not win this year's competition not to give up, while cautioning winners against complacency.

"Those who won should not let complacency set in. Those who did not win, go and come back stronger. Everybody is a winner," she advised.

Karroum also praised the Ghana Education Service (GES) for supporting the initiative, expressing hope that more students, particularly those in public schools, would benefit from the programme.

"Every Ghanaian child deserves to be part of this programme," she added.
