NPP UK And Ireland Salutes Eugene Antwi

The NPP UK and Ireland Branch of the New Patriotic Party hails the decision of our former Branch secretary and member of the party’s National council, Mr Eugene Antwi not to contest the Subin parliamentary seat but rather use his resources and energy to focus on supporting the presidential candidate and the national party’s campaign as an example of the maturity, humility ,sacrifice and patriotism needed from our politicians by Ghanaians.

We are happy to say that Eugene’s decision strengthens the party in Subin, Ashanti Region and the party nationally in that it sets a bench mark for all those who are contemplating contesting our parliamentary primaries. We need to put our resources together to unite ,go down to the people at the grassroots and tell them of the disaster befalling our country and that they must reject the cocoyam and pepper NDC government led by President John Evans Atta Mills. A government that punishes our people with 30% petroleum price increases and sells our oil cheaply abroad for 30 pieces of silver, a government that has imposed horrible 300%road tolls on the people, a government that is doing nothing over rising food prices, a government that has ministers and party officials putting up palaces at Teachamantia, oyarifa, Aburi, East legon, Cape Coast, Gomoa Fetteh, Winneba and many other places, a government that has set a record by stealing 7.2 million dollars at a single ministry without accounting for it,a government that has increased school fees for students by 60%.

We call on all party members to examine themselves and use their scarce resources to support the efforts of our presidential candidate, our national executives, our constituency and polling station executives to reach out to all corners of our country with the message of an alternative government that is ready, able and willing to address the day to day problems confronting the people.

Once again EUGASS we say ayekoo and God richly bless you. We are proud of you.
