Delta Air Lines Updates Accra-to-Atlanta Flight Times

to Improve Flight Connections in the United States

ACCRA, March 29, 2010 – Delta Air Lines has revised the schedules for its new flights between Accra’s Kotoka International Airport and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to offer customers improved flight connections to destinations across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. The revised schedules will increase by seven percent the number of same-day onward flight connections available to customers flying from Accra to Atlanta when the new flight launches on 3 June.

“As the leading U.S. airline to Ghana for more than three years, we’re delighted to be adding a second nonstop service, boosting travel and tourism between our two nations,” said Bobby Bryan, Delta’s commercial manager for West and East Africa. “The new schedule is great news for our customers as it will mean increased flight choice for destinations in the United States and beyond.”

Delta’s nonstop flight between Accra and Atlanta will operate as follows: Flight Departs Arrives Effective Frequency

DL185 Accra at 1.00 a.m. Atlanta at 8.55 a.m. 3 June 2010 3 x weekly (Thursday, Saturday, Monday)

DL184 Atlanta at 11.00 p.m. Accra at 2.40 p.m.* 1 June 2010 3 x weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)

The new flight will operate three times per week using a 216 seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. In addition to the new nonstop service to Atlanta, Delta offers flights four times weekly between Accra and its hub at New York-JFK. These flights currently operate from Accra on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. In June, Delta will increase its Accra-New York service to a five times weekly service.
