Belgium-based Ghanaian social worker assists Churches home

Mampong (Ash), Jan. 6, GNA - A Ghanaian social worker based in Brussels in Belgium has presented assorted items worth thousands of cedis to the Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church and four other Anglican churches in the Mampong Municipality. Madam Donkor, the social worker who is also a member of the Church, presented bundles of embroidered 'lace' materials for distribution to Mass Servers, Choir esters, Men's Fellowship and the Good Shepherd. Other items were pieces of cloth and headgears for the members of the Saint Mary's Guild, candle stands, electric candles, clothes for the priests, ceiling fans, communion wine and glasses and Tee Shirts. The Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, Right Reverend Daniel Yinkah-Sarfo, commended Madam Donkor for her gesture and other numerous contributions towards the development of the Church.

Later Madam Donkor also donated sets of musical instruments costing 1,000 Euros to the Mampong, Nsuta, Bonkrong Daaho and Abonkuso Anglican Churches.

She also donated over 500 assorted reading books for the establishment of a library for the Mampong Church. Madam Donkor appealed to members of the Church to avoid double standards in worshipping God saying that there is only one God in Christianity. She urged them to endeavour to remain in the Church and worship God in truth and in spirit because they would receive God's blessings through that. 6 Jan. 08
