NCOGA Presents "The Mother of All Picnics"

FAMILY DAY, HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL EXPO

It's summer time and every summer comes the Mother of All Picnics. It is one of the biggest African outdoor event which has created a worldwide buzz over the years and making people from all walks of life plan ahead of time to be a part of it. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is that time of year again; The National Council of Ghanaian Associations (NCOGA) welcomes fellow Ghanaians, Africans and friends of Ghana to its annual picnic, family Day, Health and Educational Expo at the beautiful Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, Connecticut on Saturday, August 9, 2008.

This year's picnic also features an exposition on sports, culture, health and education. There will be various competitive activities such as a volleyball tournament, tug of war competition etc. Various State Universities and institutions of higher learning will be on hand to provide admission and financial aid information

Doctors on the Hudson and The Ghanaian Nurses Association will also available to provide free health screening. Additionally, there will be Ghanaian Cultural Extravaganza! A taste of Ghana combined with traditional drumming and youth performances.
