NDC NY, NJ & CT TRI-STATE CONGRATULATES HON. JOHN D. MAHAMA ON HIS SELECTION AS THE NDC VICE-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE

The NDC Tri-State Chapter of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut wishes to congratulate and commend Prof. Atta Mills for the wise choice of Mr. John Mahama as his running mate.

The Honorable John Mahama has over the years gained a positive reputation among his peers, the Ghanaian Media, his constituents and even his political rivals as a decent, knowledgeable and honest man. Among his constituents he is loved, perhaps, because of the humility and affable courtesy he affords all, it is not surprising to us that this partnership has been described by many as a “divine ticket and Ghana’s hope ”.

Undoubtedly, the ground swell of support that Mr. Mahama enjoys from the Ghanaian public, will serve the party well in its efforts to win the December elections, in a convincing manner.

Bravo and congratulations to John Mahama whose many attributes, positive attitude, and invaluable contribution will give Ghana a new breath of fresh air. It goes without saying that Honorable John Mahama’s goal is to help foster communication and seek practical, creative solutions to the problems facing the country. He is someone to whom we can point as an example of a true leader. Ghanaians now believe that with John Mahama as Vice President tomorrow somehow can be, and will be, better than today because they have had that belief and held on to it for a while.

Additionally, Ghanaians are grateful for the selection of Mr Mahama as the presumptive Vice President because he will help heal our country that has been torn apart by ethnic conflicts through perseverance, personal courage, and an unwavering commitment to build a more hopeful future for his homeland.

We, of the NDC in the New York metro area remain grateful for the wise and careful leadership of Prof. Mills. The citizens of Ghana are pleased to have John Mahama as NDC’s choice for Vice President and are ready to work with him. Furthermore, NDC is confident that Ghanaians will be blessed with a victory from the DREAM TEAM of Prof. Atta Mills, and John Mahama come December 2008.
