NPP Cannot Be Trusted With Oil Revenue - CPP UK

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has asked Ghanaians not to trust the ruling NPP government with the revenue that will flow from the discovery of oil in Ghana. The CPP made the appeal during its weekly “Youth Evening” on Wednesday nights, on Voice of Africa Radio(VOAR) - 93.4fm, London.

The CPP team at VOAR comprised Ernest Aboagye and Kyei Anim-Sampong of the CPP Youth Wing together with the Regional Chairman Nii Armah Akomfrah.

The group took several calls from the general public with Ernest and Kyei appealing to Ghanaian youth to trust the CPP with the future of the country. Mr Akomfrah responding to a call on the discovery of oil in Ghana said the NPP are showing everyday that they have come to loot the Ghana’s state coffers, and to teach their friends and relatives how to siphon money meant for all Ghanaians. He said given the NPP‘s Kleptocratic record, it must be clear to the youth that the NPP cannot be trusted with any proceeds from oil. Mr Akomfrah said further that only the CPP can be relied on to ensure that any revenue from oil will be distributed equitably with every single Ghanaian feeling the benefit.

The CPP team speaking in different languages told radio listeners that the evidence of NPP and (P)NDC failure over the last 25years is clear for all to see as they have failed to deliver opportunity for the majority of Ghanaians to better their lives.

The CPP ‘s Radio Evening mixed youthful music with commentary on topical issues and this weeks session showed just how far the CPP is moving to attract the youth, asserting that the CPP was now the home of the youth as was the case in the 1950’s and 60’s.

Ernest and Kyei told young listeners that as representatives of the youth in the CPP , they could not see what the NDC and NPP has done to advance the cause of the youth, to ease their suffering or address their lack of opportunity.

Mr Akomfrah told a caller who asked what the CPP planned to do, that the CPP is offering a consistent strategy which delivers the most rapid rate of economic development, that a CPP government’s systematic approach would link the labour of Ghanaians able, willing and looking for work with the land, assets and resources of our society to achieve a purposeful end, delivering adequate employment opportunities, equitable distribution of the nations output and the availability of the means of satisfying ever increasing social need.

The CPP Youth Evening on Voice of Africa Radio ended this week with a song for the homeless by Reggae Artist - Sizzler .
