Prayer Festival begins in NJ

The summer Prayer Festival was very successful and many had wondered when the Fall Prayer Festival will happen. Rev. Prophet Prince Frimpongof Lighthouse Chapel, Ghana was the main speaker and Rev. Dr. Opuni, Host Pastor. At that festival, tears of joy flowed in the eyes of men and women as the Prophet of God delivered the prophetic words of encouragement and healing to the brokenhearted. The two-week festival had to be extended to three weeks. Day by day and night by night the sanctuary was packed with faithful seekers of God.

The Fall Prayer Festival, a three week event begins from Tuesday, October 17-Nov 5, 2006 at the Compassion Community Church, Elizabeth, NJ. Rev. Prophet Prince Frimpong will be headlining the event and supported by annointed men of God ever assembled; Rev. Dr. Nicholas Opuni (Senior Pastor), Bishop Felix Kofi Asare Bediako, Bishop Festus Mensah Boasiako, Rev. Dr. Nicholas Opuni (Senior Pastor), Rev. James Tweneboa, Rev. Daniel Boachie (former pastor of Agogo Assemblies of God), Rev. Tony Birinkorang and Prophet Richard Biache. Guest artist is Elder Kenneth Appia, Leader of Soul Winners - Ghana, Maame Adelaide, Felicity/Joe Menz and Grace Wallace. The Prayer Festival is being sponsored by Mr. Kofi Bawuah, President of Universal Trucking and Shipping in New Jersey.

This prayer convocation was called in accordance with the word of God in Joel chapter two verses 15-17:

"15. Blow a trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, proclaim a solemn assembly, 16. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and the nursing of infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room and the bride out of her bridal chamber. 17. Let the priests, the Lord's ministers, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, 'Spare Thy people, O Lord, and do not make Thine inheritance a reproach, a byword among the nations. Why should they among the peoples say, 'Where is their God?'"

Every now and then God's people need to come together in a more aggressive manner to seek the face of the Lord in prayers. "Then the Lord will be zealous for His land, and will have pity on His people ? and the Lord will answer and say to His people, 'Behold I am going to send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied in full with them. And I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.'" (Joel 2 vs. 18 & 19) God did just that through the anointed preaching of the word, the prophetic utterances and the powerful deliverances and intercessory prayers.
