VOTE FOR AMMA ASANTE No.54 on PvDA List

When the Dutch people go to the poll on Wednesday 22 November this month, one name you should look out for and vote for is Amma Asante. She will be the only indigenous African to be on the Dutch parliament, after the exit of Somalia-born Aryan Hirsi Ali. As a Ghanaian,West African, African, African Diaspora or even indigenous Dutch, vote Ghanaian-born Amma Asante.

With regard to Dutch form of democracy that works with proportional representation, Amma Asante needs 16,000 votes to ensure her a place in the 150-member second chamber of the legislative.

SLOGAN: Amma! The Voice for Children and Youth in National Politics

EXPERIENCE: For eight years had worked as a member of the Amsterdam Municipal Council. She had worked to create more chances for self-actualization among children, youth, teenage mothers and newcomers to the Dutch society. So she will want to bring this experience to bear in the Dutch parliament. Together with her Dutch Labor Party (Partij van de arbeid) they will endeavor to deliver social justice and equal opportunity for young people in the Dutch society.

WORK AREA
? Better Education and combat school drop-out
? Create more internship opportunities for artisans (VMBO and MBO students)
? Combat discrimination on the labor front and in education system
? Tackle long waiting list for kindergarten enrolment
? Help improve youth participation in national politics

Go to the poll 22 November, and Vote for Amma Asante, the alone and fairly unknown voice of the African migrant in The Netherlands. Nonetheless, if you happen to be living outside The Netherlands, once you have Dutch nationality or passport, you are still eligible to vote in Dutch elections, so go to your nearest Embassy or consulate and vote?It is possible and it is allowed!!!
