US-based benevolent society supports school with jerseys and footballs

Kumasi, July 23, GNA -- Adom Partnership International, a benevolent society based in the United States of America (USA) on Friday donated three sets of replica jerseys of the senior national team, the Black Stars and five footballs to the Amazing Grace Preparatory and Junior Secondary School (JSS) at a ceremony in Kumasi. The donation is in fulfilment of a promise made by the management of the society when they visited the school on an educational tour last year.

Donating the items, Mr Tom Stricklin, Director of the society, commended the Black Stars for the sterling performance they put up at the recent World Cup in Germany, saying, the feat demonstrated the growth of the country's football.

He was hopeful that stakeholders in the country's football would commit resources to instituting programmes to consolidate the Stars' performance in future competitions.

Mr Yaw Antwi-Boakye, Headteacher of the school, commended the society for the gesture and gave the assurance that the items would be put to good use.
