Toronto Hosts Convention of Brong Ahafo Residents

in North America on May, 29, 2010

Friends, sons and daughters of the Brong Ahafo region residing in Canada and the United States will be converging in Toronto on May 29, 2010 for their first ever convention in North America. The event is being organized by the Council of Brong Ahafo Associations of North America (COBAANA)

The occasion will be graced by the current President of the Brong Ahafo House of Chiefs, Nana Osahene Kwaku Aterkyi II, Omanhene of Kukuom Traditional area and the regional minister; Hon. Nyamekye Marfo (the former District Chief Executive for Sunyani). In all, about 600 delegates will be arriving from major cities in the USA and Canada for the convention.

The theme for the occasion is Unity and Development. The objective is to mobilize the citizens and friends of Brong Ahafo residents in North America and utilize such unity towards supporting the development of the region. The event will take place at DREAMS CONVENTION CENTRE in Brampton.
