Queens Ghana Launches “Asomdwee” Cd Song

Queens Ghana SDA church choir has launched its debut musical CD at a colorful ceremony that will remain in the memory of those who attended the function for many years to come. Dubbed “Asomdwee”, meaning peace; the tape has twelve soul inspiring and stirring songs dedicated to the furtherance of God’s work worldwide. All the songs were composed and written by songwriter Newlove Annan who has over the past one year been providing leadership to Queens Ghana SDA church Choir.

Launching the CD at First Ghana SDA church in the Bronx, Queens Ghana head elder, Elder Kwasi Boamah and Choir patron, Elder Osei Nimako explained to the packed audience that they undertook the project to praise the Lord in songs and also to use the proceeds to support their ongoing church building construction. After series of songs from the invited choirs and singing groups, the Queens Ghana choristers sang songs of zion to bring hope to the crowd therein gathered. On several occasions the audience gave the singers a big standing ovation as they ululated praising God for such inspiring songs.

After the dedication of the CD’s by Pastors Kwabena Twum and Sampson Appiah Kubi, people could not help waiting but rushed to purchase copies for themselves and their friends. The Master of ceremony, Elder Samuel Buabeng of New Jersey Ghana SDA church expressed his gratitude and thanks for the patronage of the people in purchasing the CD. He said in this way the proceed will not only go to help Queens Ghana church building project but the quality of songs will have tremendous impact in a positive way to prepare people for the soon coming of Jesus. The chairpersons and the supporters contributed together more than $10,000.00 at this debut CD launching.

SK Twumasi, Queens Ghana SDA church Pastor in an interview said it is befitting that after six years of the formation of Queens Ghana SDA church choir they could produce such a quality CD. He employed the choristers to keep singing to bring healing and joy to those who may find comfort in them. The songwriter, Newlove Annan also expressed his satisfaction for the performances of the singing group. He was more than encouraged stating that this will not be the last CD but many more CD’s will be produced.

The church pastor expressed his thanks to the chairperson and the supporters, singing groups and well wishers who came to participate in and to support the program. Many expressed their words of appreciation to God who used the choir leaders, Patience Baffour, Sarah Ansah Mensah, Osei Yaw Wiredu, Kwame Brew, Kwaku Agyeman, Newlove Annan and several others to put these songs on CD so many can enjoy the talents God has endowed Queens Ghana SDA Church choir.
