Presbyterian Church of Howard County donates to School for the Blind

The First Presbyterian Church of Howard County, Columbia, Maryland has donated 220 Talking Calculators and batteries valued at $2,500 for the School for the Blind in Akropong, Ghana
This is in response to a fund raising campaign launched by the Kwakwaduam Association Inc of New York on behalf of the School.
The talking calculators is anticipated to enhance the ability of these visually challenged children better master the art of science and math as suggested by the Headmistress of the School.
Dr. Akua Asiedu of the Presbyterian Church indicated that this gesture was part of the global initiative of the Church and stressed the need for collaboration in solving the needs of such impaired children
Receiving the items on behalf of the School, Dr. Alex Boafo President of Kwakwaduam Association Inc said he was impressed and thankful with the gesture of the Church and hoped others would emulate such noble efforts for the benefit of these children and to help acclimate them as fruitful and productive members of the society.
