One debate is no solution to Ghana’s crisi - NPP Germany tells Mahama.

A Leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Germany, Mr Kwaku Anane-Gyinde reminded President John Dramani Mahama that a “One-on One” debate with the Flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akuffo-Addo is not the answer to the economic crisis and the hardships Ghanaians are going through.

According to him, the call for a debate is a desperate attempt by an incompetent and corrupt President to divert attention from the economic mess in which the country finds itself, the failure to keep the promises made to Ghanaians, his inability to manage the economy and the unprecedented corruption that has characterised the NCD government.

Speaking on Ghana Waves Radio on Monday, Mr Anane-Gyinde made it clear that the NPP will not dignify the politics of lies and deception by putting the highly-respected and incorruptible Nana Akuffo-Addo on the same stage/podium with a President who has lost all credibility has become a symbol of failure, corruption and incompetence.
He argued that in the midst of all the economic difficulties such as high utility tariffs, non-payment of teachers’ salaries, lack of basic necessities like pens and notes books at the Psychiatric hospitals and a collapsing national health system, if a debate remains the major concern of the President, then Ghanaians can only conclude that either the President does not understand the gravity of the crisis or he is simply insensitive to plight of the ordinary people.

Mr Anane-Gyinde, who is also the National Organiser of NPP-Germany noted that governance for the past eight years has been reduced to empty rhetoric and vile propaganda by President Mahama and his band of lousy but empty-minded propagandists parading as communicators.

He pointed out that what Ghana needs, and indeed deserves, at this critical period is a leader with a clear vision and purpose, capable of assembling a competent team that will formulate and implement the right policies and programmes leading to job creation, good education, improved health service delivery and prudent economic management.

Mr Anane-Gynide stated that providing solutions to Ghana’s problems is remains the party’s main priority adding “this is exactly what we have done through our solution-based manifesto which was presented to the good people of Ghana on October 9 2016”

He reiterated that the “One District, One Factory” policy is pragmatic solution to the Youth unemployment in the country, an antidote to rural-urban migration and above all, a poverty reduction measure, particularly in the rural areas where nearly 60 per cent of the population resides.

The National Organiser said, as part of the programme to address the infrastructural deficit and lack of development in the rural areas, the NPP will allocate the equivalent of $ 1 million to every district to ensure a fair and equitable distribution of the national cake, stating “this will give meaning and effect to decentralisation and allow local communities to determine their own developmental needs and priorities.”

Mr Anane-Gyinde urged Ghanaians to rally behind the NPP and Nana Akuffo-Addo so as to salvage the economy from its current downward spiral and said another four years for President Mahama would be disastrous for Ghana.
