New Year Greetings From NPP UK And Ireland

The UK and Ireland branch of the New Patriotic Party wishes all Ghanaians home and abroad a very happy new year. The year 2005 has been challenging for us as a nation but we have been able to go through the year peacefully and successfully. Let us all welcome the new year with fervent determination to build our nation into a sustainable democracy, where individual freedoms are guaranteed and our collective responsibilities are fulfilled.

Let us all as Ghanaians resolve to support the government?s effort to create a free society, built on the foundations of good governance, free enterprise and press freedom. Let 2006 unite us all behind our nation, especially in our support for the Black Stars as they venture on to the world stage of football.

We as a nation have so much going well for us and we have a lot to be thankful to God for. Let us use the blessings of the years gone by and the hope of the years to come to guide us in thanking God for Ghana.

We as a branch Party send our love and goodwill to President Kufour and his entire government as well as our support in their effort to build a sustainable economy for the benefit of all Ghanaians. The task of nation building is hard and supreme yet noble and rewarding. We commend them for their tolerance and determination and may these virtues be renewed and strengthened in 2006 and beyond.

We also welcome the new executives of the NPP and the NDC into office and may they use their offices to build a pluralistic, inclusive society in which fears and intimidations of majority and minorities are allayed.

We wish the NDC, CPP, PNC (UK and Ireland branches) a very happy New Year and hope that our collective new year resolutions will be to work hard to build a united nation.

We extend our warm wishes in 2006 to all communities in the UK, all businesses in the UK and Ireland and especially all the associations and clubs who work hard to sustain and support groups and individuals in Ghana.

We extend our warm gratitude and greetings to the Ghana High Commission here in the UK and Ireland and wish them all the good tidings of 2006. We commend them especially for the welfare and consular support for all Ghanaians who live and pass through UK

We also wish our entire sister branch parties in the diaspora a very fruitful new year and hope that we can join in our effort to support the government in Ghana to push through programmes and agenda aimed at improving the lives of all in education, health and poverty alleviation especially of our womenfolk.
