NDC Youth Forum North American Branch

We the members of the youth forum branch of the NDC in North American chapter cautions the NPP that the tactics they used to win elections in the past has been exposed, and there is nothing they can do to avert the results of this pending election. I witness what the NPP did in 2000 when they gave our polling agents stale food and water which made them sick to witness results of the 2000 election. We are therefore calling on the polling agents to be as vigilant as possible and to avoid taking food from people they did not recognize as NDC officials in order to prevent the desperate NPP from rigging the election. The NDC has learnt its lessons; any attempt to rig this election will be resisted vehemently in accordance with the due process of the law.

We also call on the security services to uphold the law and discharge their duties with impartiality and diligence. The results of the Dec. 7th indicated that Ghanaians were hungry for change and there is nothing NPP can do to prevent it. When NDC lost in 2000, it was because Ghanaians wanted change and there was a change just as another change is coming to the NDC. We pray on all and sundry to go to the polls as early as possible to cast their vote, although we are not in Ghana we also monitor the results and are constantly in touch with the media covering the elections.

We have come to the realization that the NPP leadership is bribing people to go to the polls on the 28th by providing vehicles and cash assistance across the country. Also some people in the media. The NDC trust the judgment of the media and we hope that the media will not allow itself to be used by the NPP to perpetuate corruption, injustice, and lawlessness in the country. We thank the reportage of myjoyonloine.com, TV3 and the others which stood up-to-date for the Dec 7th election, by reporting from the polling stations especially the NPP “world banks” areas to prevent multiple counts of ballots.

We also want to take this opportunity to congratulate all the NDC members of parliament and hope the independent members and the CPP member will avail themselves for NDC to take the nation to the next level of governance in the 21st century. Prof. Mills has exhibited maturity and proper conduct necessary to lead the nation. Prof Mills is a man of God who promotes peace, honesty, and transparency. Prof Mills government will fight corruption which has eroded the nation under the NPP government, create jobs for the massive unemployed graduates. We all know the assets members of the NPP administration have acquired since their inception in 2000, also known as “minua di namin di bi.” Prof Mills administration will clean the public sector to make it viable, also to improve the nations dealings with its neighbors abroad.
