Meet Ghanaweb in Fair Lakes, Virginia

Founder & CEO of GhanaHomePage@Ghanaweb, Francis Akoto, will join 1,000 Ghanaians at the 3- day Ghana Festival in Fair Lakes, Virginia this weekend. Mr. Akoto will arrive at the Washington Dulles International Airport tomorrow, just in time for the Akwaaba Night, scheduled for 6:00 pm - Midnight on Thursday, July 3. Legendary songwriter and musician Kojo Antwi arrived yesterday and will also be at the Akwaaba Night to socialize with delegates coming to the cocktail party.

The Akwaaba Night (July 3) will be followed by Alumni Reunion picnic (July 4), Warner Theater Concert featuring Kojo Antwi (July 4), business conference (July 5), banquet, fashion show and Ayikoo party (July 5). Delegates will check out of the Hyatt Fair lakes Hotel on Sunday, July 6.

Three government representatives will also be in attendance. They include Mr. Kwasi Abeasi, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center; Steve Asamoah-Boateng, Deputy Minister of Information; and Kwabena Antwi, PR Manager, Ghana Investment Promotion Center. The historic gathering, scheduled for July 3-6, will feature a cultural and fashion show, a concert with Kojo Antwi, a trade fair and a business conference with panel sessions on technology & business, engineering & agriculture, education, health, and NEPAD/ECOWAS development.
