Nana Sifa Twum, a Ghanaian resident in London, has said no Ghanaian has been affected in Saturday’s terrorist attack in London.

Reports say the death toll in the incident has risen to seven after three suspects were shot dead by police on Saturday June 3.

A white van hit pedestrians on London Bridge at about 22:00 BST on Saturday, then three men got out and stabbed people in nearby Borough Market.

Police said the three men were wearing fake bomb vests.

One of those hurt is a police officer who was stabbed after going to help. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Speaking in the development in an interview with Chief Jerry Forson, host of Ghana Yensom, on Accra100.5FM Monday June 5, Mr Twum said: “By and large, everyone is fine. The GUBA awards was ongoing at the time the incident happened.

“Several Ghanaians in London also attended church that same time and so by and large no Ghanaian has been affected per the information we are picking up.”
