Living Word Temple in London celebrates Pastor's Day @50

It was all praises, worship and testimonies as members of Living Word Temple International Church, housed within the heart of White Hart Lane, Tottenham – London, celebrated their Pastors 50th birthday.

The Church, made up mostly of nationals from Britain, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Caribbean with joy, sang and danced at length to thank God for their man of God. For the celebrant, Archbishop Dr. John Owusu-Ansah, his memorable day could not have come at a better time as the church members threw him a big surprise packet of a top-of-the range Mercedes Benz Jeep as his birthday present. Before cutting his birthday cake in the church, the man of God was ushered outside the church building where his sparkling embellished gift, completely covered, awaits him. Bishop Dr. Akoto Bamfo of Power Land International Church in London who preached at the service blessed the car before being unveiled with cheers and merry making by the congregation. In his sermon, taken from 2 Samuel 7:18 under the title: ‘Who Am I?’ he told the congregation when they celebrate with somebody they will also be celebrated. He cautioned the church members to slow down in whatever they are looking for in the world and that as far as God is with them the devil cannot stop it. “If you are ashamed of where you came from you will be ashamed to go where you came from. Your dream will never die and God will make your dream come through.” He praised the church members and advised them not to stop the good things they are doing in their life and helping the church. “God will do great things in the life of people of this Church and they will ask: ‘Who Am I?’, he added.

The resident Pastor of the Church, Rev. Agyemang Prempeh, thanked the members saying: “May God enrich and prosper you. May you live to see your dreams. May His presence, provision and protection be abundant in your life.”

Later in an interview with the celebrant after the service he said 50 years is a year of jubilee and change. “I believe our church will have a great change. There will be greater level of empowerment, I believe there will be liberation in the church as never before and the congregation will see the power of God in their lives, homes, work and families.”

He mentioned how amazing it was to be presented with an automobile by the church for his birthday and that he was not expecting it. “I have realised their love for me and they are appreciating whatever I am doing for them. I give God glory and praise,” the man of God said.

Speaking about the history of the Church, Archbishop John Owusu-Ansah mentioned about how it all started in 1993 and with prayers, deliverance and teachings the grace of God started adding to the numbers. It now has 20 branches across the globe - with its headquarters in London, among them are branches in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Rwanda, Italy and an orphanage school in Kiyamba - Kiboya District, in Uganda where it caters for over 300 orphans.

Archbishop Owusu Ansah who has written 3 books (‘Understanding Prayer’, ‘Mysteries behind the Anointing’ and ‘The Truth of Life-Mysteries of Dream and Vision’) pointed out the long-time vision of the Church is for God to lift it to a higher level (spiritually) and with numerical growth where every member shall attain equally, God’s prosperity and salvation and to have Christian education, meeting the needs of orphans, building a clinic in Africa and supporting the community. - Reggie Tagoe at White Hart Lane, Tottenham – London
