Janet Abobigu honored with Women Empowerment Icon Award

The 5th Annual Global Official Dignity Award; "The Home of the Greatest Humanitarians of the World" occurred last weekend; Oct. 21, 2017 at the United Nations, NY.

Mrs Abibogu was accompanied by her family from Ghana to receive the GOD Award for empowering women to be self reliant. "Poverty among women is not lack of money but lack of equipping oneself with knowledge and essential skills"

Some of the Ghanaian honorees were; Honorable Kennedy Agyepong, Member of Parliament, Assin Central, CEO, Kencity Media - Lifetime Achievement on Philanthropy and Public Service, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, CEO Despite Group of Companies and Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, CEO Of Special Ice were each honored with; 2017 Men of Ghana Award and Dr. Samuel "Amo" Tobbin; Executive Chairman, Tobinco Group of Companies received the Humanitarian Icon of Africa Award.

Hon. Agyepong was not present but his son; Kenneth Jr. received the award on behalf of his proud father. Also Dr. Despite and Dr. Ofori were not present but Broadcast Journalist Akwasi Aboagye of Peace FM humbly received the awards on their behalf. Dr. Tobbin was also not present so a representative received on his behalf.

The G.O.D. Awards is a global humanitarian awards institution honoring the "greatest humanitarians of the world" from the highest echelon of Diplomacy, Royalty, Business & Economy, Medicine, Philanthropy, Culture & Arts and Entertainment whose unequivocal contribution to humanity have made significant impact on Human Rights, Global Peace, Green Environment, Education, Health and Wellness, Eradication of Poverty and Empowerment.
