Ghanaians in Perth will not meet President Mills

Over 500 Ghanaians in Perth Australia will not meet President Mills during CHOGM.

Perth will come to a standstill within the CHOGM days and logistics to plan a venue for an event like meeting a President will be challenging. Will the President not be surprised if he does not meet over 500 Ghanaians and families including Australian Corporations with mining interests in Ghana during his CHOGM visit from 28 October 2011 in Perth?

Why has President Mills' office not responded to a request from Ghanaians in Perth, Australia to meet with him and his entourage? A letter written and sent through the Australian High Commission months ago has not been responded to. With CHOGM only three weeks away, Ghanaians in Australia and particularly Perth and surrounding areas who want to play a lead role in organising this event has been disappointed from a planning perspective.

Has someone failed to inform and plan for such an occasion for the President to meet Ghanaians, or is this normal planning when other countries have theirs planned and ready to go for the same period?
