Ghanaian Women Should Support Prof Atta-Mills – Vida Addae

The Chairperson of the NDC in Hamburg, Ms Vida Addae has called on all Ghanaian women to rally behind the NDC and Prof Atta-Mills in the forthcoming elections to give hope to women, children and the country as a whole.

Ms Vida Addae who saw off a stiff competition from the menfolk in Hamburg to win the Chairmanship a few months ago spoke at length of the difficulties Ghanaians currently faces under the incompetent NPP Administration. She cited specifically the lack of security in the country which has impacted negatively on women who cannot even risk waking up early to go about their businesses activities. She also cited the continuous attacks on Diaspora visiting home being singled out by Armed Robbers as a result of the worsening security situation in the country.

Answering a question from the Radio host Papa-Nii on how she felt being a woman Chairperson of a major NDC Branch in Germany. She encouraged all women to set their sights high and to make the sky their limit. She did say as a working mother it was hard work but then if the people in Hamburg has entrusted the position and voted for her that proves that it doesn’t matter your gender but that it’s your efforts that count.

She also spoke about the need for a change of direction in the fortunes of the governance of Ghana because as the situation stands the country is gradually sinking and being brought down on its knees by the current NPP Administration which is unfair to Ghanaians and with enormous costs on relatives in the Diaspora.

Ms Vida Addae says she would be leading an NDC delegation from Germany to participate in the forthcoming NDC Confab in Stockholm on the 2nd of June hosted by the Swedish NDC Branch and its Chairman Dechor Hein.
