Ghana represents gracefully at National Multicultural Festival at Canberra

The High Commission of the Republic of Ghana in Canberra, Australia participated in this year’s ongoing National Multicultural Festival which began on Friday 21st and ends on Sunday 23rd February 2020.

The High Commission mounted an exhibition of various items, promotional materials and made in Ghana products that depicted the rich Ghanaian culture. The exhibits included wood carvings, local musical instruments, leather products, textile products from GTP, Vlisco, African print clothing, cosmetics, beads jewellery, hand-woven baskets, straw fans, the legendary Kente cloth and stools among others.

The promotional materials included a tourism document put together by the High Commission titled “Ghana in Pictures”. As the name rightly suggests, this document promotes the various tourist sights and sites and tells the story of Ghana with more pictures than write up. Other materials included, Doing Business in Ghana, Ghana Incentives Inventory and the Cocoa Industry- Investment Opportunities.

The Ghanaian stalls had many visitors passing through to ask questions. Many also took along with them information materials about Ghana.

It was another year of a successful exhibition and promotion for Ghana.
