Ghana consular in Malabo to meet Black Stars

The Ghana mission in Malabo will be in the Black Stars camp to encourage them before their herculean assignment against Algeria after losing to Senegal

The Ghana consular in Malabo Eric Duodu will meet the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of their must-win game against Algeria on Friday in Mongomo.

The Black Stars were defeated 2-1 by the Teranga Lions of Senegal and have to at least draw against Africa's in-form side to keep their hopes alive in the Africa Cup of Nations 2015.

“The supporters here are not happy with the way the Black Stars lost focus in the second half against Senegal, they have asked me to speak to the players on their behalf that they need nothing but a win on Friday,” Duodu told Goal Ghana.

“This is football and anything can happen. I believe we can beat Algeria, all is about determination. We will also organise the local supporters here in Equatorial Guinea to come and support the team.”

Algeria, who walloped South Africa 3-1 in their opening game, need at least a draw to go through.
