Friends for Obama, Ghana congratulates Obama

The president of friends for Obama' 08 in Ghana, Mr. Abraham Boakye, who also doubles as GHANSU president and GOC ambassador for Football Supporting Glo Ambassador and Vice President Africa Football and other Sports Supporters Union(AFOSSU),has sent congratulated message to the Obama campaign team and the entire commity of us citizenry for the wonderful and an historic election of the first africa - american president in the person of senator barack obama of chicago-illinios,

In a release issued by j-k. Owusu-boakye, general-secretary of the club for the president to the press, the ffo '08 said that

'The good people of the usa have indeed voted to embrace change and depicted the can do it spirit of the world's leading nation,

The historic election of sen. Obama on tuesday has buried for ever the tentacles of xenophobia and colour discrimination.americans have nibbed in the mud the centuries old discrimination and given way to a newmillennium global order of issues and challenges posed by the changing environment of cultural, social-economic and political,as well as,

Climate change and conflicts of the world.

The victory of sen, obama is indeed a victory for americans commitment to world leadership and better welfare of humanity-it is a vote for progressive engagements of a polarised peoples of the world who are faced with the dunting challenges of our times.

Really, americans have voted to encapsulate the big dreams of their founding-fathers of democracy who saw the time when there will be a one nation strong and united under the coat of arms of the world's great nation;a nation govern by virtious and honest persons whose contributions to the state are noble and worth-emulating,

Today. Americans have braced the intractable and uncertain future of the world's financial crisis and said 'we can do again,we will do it again under a new leader and president whose origins challenge the development of democracy and citizenship some centuries ago! This is seen as a consonant to the biblical tearing of the curtains of the temple at the death of jesus.thus, henceforth shall there be no resort to colour, creed, religion and whatever discriminatory tendencies that impedes human development.

It is gratifying to note that when in the year 2003, sen. Donald payne of new jersey introduced mr. Abraham boakye to the then newly-elected senator of chicago-illinios barack obama to him during the world womens soccer tournament;sen. Obama was full of promising future of leadership qualities and a great sense of humor and fondness to meeting an african supporter from ghana.

History made by the people of america has send a transcending millee of happiness and high-sense of global renewal and hope for the future of the youth and posterity through out the african continent.that today, our own kindred has won the highest office of america and will sit at the oval office, is indeed a great novelty of our time'.

Whilst we wishing you the best of leadership and good and pragmatic policies to salvalge the moribund state of world affairs,we also wish to the good lord to bless your tenure and progress relations with africa and the un,the statement added.

God bless us all!!!
