Amansie Association of New York celebrate

The Amansie Association of New York celebrated their 28th end-of-year party in
the Bronx on Dec.24th 2010, people from all walks of life attended this function

on the Christmas Eve.

The traditional Dec. 24th night event has been missing for almost five years
now, so it was fun when the Association organized itself to make this special
occasion a success.

Speaking at a colourful function the President of the Association Mr. Samuel
Asamoah congratulated the new executives and the entire members for working
diligently throughout the entire year.

He said the year 2011 is going to be a challenging year, and advised all
delinquent and backsliding members to take advantage of the general amnesty
granted them to come back to the association. "Please as Ghanaian's living
outside our country I would like to entreat you to be law abiding, show respect
to your leaders, be punctual at meetings, do well to go home and support worthy
projects, support others when the need arises since service to mankind and to
people is service to God and I would also like to implore you to obey the rules
and the regulations of the Association."

The President urged the members to avoid tribalism, negativity, unfounded,
baseless and unguided allegations, back-biting, absenteeism from
meetings, pull-him-down attitudes, and abstain from all divisive tendencies that

would tarnish the image of the Amansie Kuo, the Asanteman and our beloved
country Ghana.

He said the Association is not opened to citizens of Amansie in Ghana alone, but

anybody who wants to be a member is invited to come on board.

The newly elected chief of the Asanteman association in New York, Nana
Acheampong Tieku who is also a member of the association was introduced to the
gathering.
He noted that, the doors of the newly executive's are widely open for advise
and constructive criticism and the executives are ready to do anything within
their ability to let the Amansie Kuo be the first or with the with first.

The immediate past and newly sworn in executives were introduced to the
gathering and the President expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the old
executives for the good job done during their tenure in office.

The Emcee's for the day were the "Good Old" Mr Danso Abeberese formerly of GBC

who is also the PRO of the Amansie Kuo of New York and was ably assisted by "
Ever Ready" Nana Kwabena Amakye of Asanteman Association of New York.

Food, drinks and khebab were galore. Traditional hi-life and hip-life music were

provided by Solo Soundz.
