Akuffo-Addo meets Ghanaians in Atlanta

Perimeter Center, Atlanta, GA USA (April 22, 2012) --- Following a discussions/meetings with senior NPP officials and the Ghanaian Muslim community in the New York area, NPP Flag Bearer Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, met with Ghanaian citizens in the Atlanta GA area at a press conference hosted by the NPP (New Patriotic Party) Atlanta Chapter last Sunday, April 22 2012 to assure them of the party’s manifesto and agenda. Attendees of the press conference dubbed, ‘The most critical election of a generation’, included representatives of the Tennessee and North Carolina branches of the NPP.

Unable to make it to a pre arranged web radio session with Obimanso Radio due to a hectic schedule, presidential candidate Nana Akuffo-Addo made an off the cuff appearance at the Marriott Plaza to connect and interact with fellow Ghanaians while elaborating on the most important reasons why he believes he’s the right man to lead the Republic of Ghana potentially into the next decade. The concerns of the people gathered ranged from investment prospects to absentee voting as well as the current cultural, economic, political climate in Ghana. With the US economy still recovering from the recession, it has now become rather pertinent for Ghanaians to seek gainful employment and career opportunities back home, so the Presidential Candidate’s visit couldn’t have been more opportune. The platform was also suitable for students and young Ghanaians who are fast becoming aware of the stable political environment, to engage in politics by voicing out their concerns as well as offer solutions to some of the issues facing a young democracy, thus showcasing their fresh talents and technological skills.

The people seemed convinced that with this Presidential hopeful and the NPP’s manifesto which includes proposals such as free primary education, Ghanaians living abroad being able to vote, and the comprehensive package to encourage business ventures in Ghana , would indeed enhance the lives of Ghanaian citizens both home and abroad.
