New York, New York -- Abena Sarfo is very young, beautiful, multitalented and brave. She is credited with singing the ?National Anthem? at the 2003 Kojo Antwi concert in an impressive format (her own style) before the ?Music Man? hit the stage. Abena is currently working on a new material and also embarking upon a new project as a volunteer for Project Abroad. She is organizing a three serial fund raising event at Club Bamboo and the final stage is on Saturday, February 18th.
At the second event, Hiplife stars; Castor, KK Fosu and Kofi Nti took time of their busy schedule to come and offer their support to her good cause. Her family, were also there to show some love. Abena in a brief interview with this writer; said that what inspired her to become a volunteer was that she is always interested in community service in America and would like to extend the service to Africa. She said ?You want to give back to Africa because you live in America, the land of opportunity and become a role model for all Africans to use what they have acquired in America and give back to Africa?.
She has encountered difficulties in her project, i.e. lack of interest from others but she is overlooking that difficulty and continues with setting her goals of giving back to Africa. Another way she raises funds for charity is; designing her own line of ladies hand bags and sells them.
