AU Diaspora African Forum Honours Samuel Paulos

Mr. Samuel Paulos, Director/Founder of Gateway 4 Youth, an NGO, has been honoured for his contribution to the development of the youth in Ghana and also to efforts of bridging the gap between the Africa and the Diaspora.

This was at the annual dinner of the (AU) Diaspora African Forum to mark the 5th anniversary of the Diaspora African Forum and to recognise the contributions of individuals/members to the development of the less privileged in societies.

H.E. Dr Erieka Bennett, Founder and Head of Mission, who presented the awards, described Mr. Samuel Paulos as a man of compassion with a vision to nurture the youth into discovering themselves and their talent.

“This is a wonderful man who could have decided to return to his home country when his service was done, but he decided to stay and help the people ...he is really doing a lot.”

On his part, Mr. Samuel Paulos said, “There is something special about this country, it is a wonderful place and I found something special which I decided to stay and contribute the little way I can to help.”

Mr. Samuel Paulos is a retired country director of Plan-Ghana with over 26 years of field experience. He has in the last 2 years committed his experience, time and resources to the development of the capacities and potentials of the youth.

He entreated all members of the forum to contribute to the development of the human resource of the youth in Ghana.

The other awardees on the night include Miss Brenda Joyce, Mrs Rosa Whitaker, President/CEO The Whitaker Group, Princess Ocansey, Co-Founder Nekoteck Centre of Excellence, Mr. Samuel Paulos, founder/Director Gateway 4 Youth Foundation-Ghana, and Mr Kwaw Ansah, playwright/Chairman and Executive Producer Of Film Africa Ltd who received the living legend awards.
