This is an unfortunate incident. However, the Police Officer should have taken simple instructions and return. The soldiers were working of orders. Within the Barracks there are places designated as no thoroughfare. Such places are usually applied by only High Command. If a soldier orders someone to halt or freeze at gun point the person dares not advance. Once you advance you are considered an enemy. At the Operational Area if a soldier challenges a suspected character with a password and the right response is not acknowledged the soldier may fire a warning shot and may follow it with a fire for effect. This is a lesson to all of us.

From the news read, the police was being rude and lawless and that was one of the means to discipline him.In fact it serves in right.
Are we not in this country when soldiers under training revolted hard training they were having and were all sacked from training? That is the discipline plan for Ghana soldiers which police must go through as well - in fact, Ghana police, before passing out must go for at least 3 months military training, a situation that will compel them not to be standing by road side to collect tips. Ghana police are too indiscipline.
