The Arabs attitude towards the female domestic worker is such a horrible, horrible issue that every government must use whatever means possible/available to restrain their citizens from taking the bait for their job offers.
I live in one of the Arab countries and have witnessed firsthand some unbelievable abuses and atrocities committed towards these helpless young women especially from eastern Africa, mainly from Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
There is a heartbreaking secret that nobody hears of or talks about except those so-called employment agents. And here is it - This a true story.
1. Upon arrival, the women are sold without their knowledge. And as a result they are treated as slaves by their disguised employers or call it those who bought them.
2. They become subject to multiple sexual abuse by men in the home. It could be the husband, his brothers, his sons just anybody. Refusal to allow them have their way is punishable by beating to death. I have personally rescued many Kenyans girls.
3. Should they become pregnant there are only three options of solution available. a- to rapidly send you back to your home country. b- falsely accuse you of illicit affair and then throw you into jail. c- POISON. Many have died this way.
Those so-called employment agents are not ignorant of these facts yet it is sad to note that by reason of MONEY they continue in this path of destruction of families by way of causing pain and misery to these innocent girls. it is unbelievable and i suggest that the law deals with those caught in a much, much more severe way. thank you.
