Some of us who had the opportunity to educate ourselves at this great university got involved in this banter or witnessed it going on. In those days it was just part of the fun on campus which was sometimes used to release the tension. I am surprised and disappointed that the present group of students have taken it to this level by using knifes/weapons. This is not acceptable at the university or anywhere in society so it should be discouraged and stopped. I hope the VC and the university authorities will take the necessary measures (if possible) to hand over the perpetrators to the law enforces for the laW of the country to deal with them. If possible they should be expelled to serve as a deterrent to others.
