the report said he was a business man who purchases cocoa in Ivory Coast, unlike the valueless Ghana cedi, do you know the value of the CFA which is an international currency; the guy was fleeing danger with his valued possession, and which Ghanaian custom agent wouldn't "confiscate" this money and steal it if he was so dumb to declare it at the border; his only mistake was that he should have deposited it in a regular bank like Ecobank where he could have had access to it anywhere in West Africa. He was unlucky to have met criminals starting with the guy who referred him to this Nigerian after disclosing his valuables to who he thought was his trusted country man

Your viewpoints sound convincing, but I do not think the guy EARNED those dollars genuinely as a businessman.
If he had a clear conscience about the money, he would have headed straight to a bank to deposit it.

I think he stole it from Ivorian Government coffers by short-changing the farmers, or had a share from an Ivorian banker who had stolen if from the vault.
He, therefore, did not want to leave any possible trace.
His karma was running into a Biafran.
I prefer the Yorubas.

When a thief steals from another thief what do we call it?This may be a classical case of double crossing, they both are lossers;and might both end up in prison.

No one trusts a Nigerian when it comes to money unless you are a fool. I can't trust a Nigerian even when he becomes the Pope. They are like that from birth. The courts should put him 50years behind bars for the start. Now, you Ivorian how did you come by $1m cash in a trunk? 20 years for the Ivorian.
