    Five years in prison for a stealing plantains is way too harsh but I guess he got the stiffer punishment because he's a repeated convict. It's sad because he's probably without a job & hungry.

    The serious fraud office has done nothing about the theft of ghana funds..stealing 3 bunchs of plaintain should not require more than 3 month of jail and really 3 weeks would probably teach the theive a lesson!

    Note he is a repeat criminal. The sentence,though harsh, may be is to act as a deterrent. No one knows what the conditions of his earlier realeaee were and so let's note hysterical about the sentence .
