You see, poverty is the root of crime at all. After all Ashanti Region is the wealthiest section of Ghana, yet it is crime-ridden. The frightening thing is that the criminals are now extending their territories beyond Kumasi.

I do not know why this fellow had a gun, but maybe he wanted to protect himself from robbers. Law-abiding residents of Ghana should be able to have a gun to protect themselves. Who has one legally can be controlled. The be ... read full comment

I am a 75-year-old missionary who so far has not been able to get a gun to defend myself and my wife. The present policy basically insures that criminals will have guns, but their victims will not.
