The Accra High Court has refused the bail application by lawyer Nana Baffour Awuah regarding the 2-week remand of Salomey Awity Bafoh, a nurse and a mother of 3 children, who has been implicated in a case involving a social media critic called Ghana Jollof.

The court, following hearing today, refused Salomey Bafoh a bail on account that she may tamper with evidence as the matter involves cyber security issues.

This was disclosed by her lawyer during a press conference.

According to Nana Baffour Awuah, the presiding judge stated that granting the woman bail may result in her erasing some evidential information.

"The court said that [1] investigations are ongoing. [2] The investigations are cyber-related, therefore, releasing the woman may result in her deleting all the information that could serve as evidence", lawyer Baffour Awuah said.
