In his closing statement, Atta Akyea is litigating “ no case to answer “ again at the high court. But this portion has gone to Appeals court and ruled over it that the case can not be stopped but it can appeal it at the Supreme Court. So this won’t stop the July 20 judgement. If proven not guilty, then all cases on appeal become moot but if proven guilty, then Wontumi can appeal the whole verdict at appeal court or that part of constitutionality at Supreme Court. This would buy Wontumi some time from serving jail time immediately if found guilty at the High Court.
