Suspected armed robbers, believed to be Fulani herdsmen, attacked a Toyota Land Cruiser at Mim Junction on the Sunyani-Mim Road, firing about 15 rounds of bullets before making away with GH¢25,000 in cash.
The incident, which occurred at Mim Junction on the Sunyani–Atronie Road, also left several bystanders robbed of their mobile phones as the armed men carried out the attack.
According to a video shared on X by THESTATENEWSS on Friday, July 10, 2026, the assailants opened fire on the vehicle before forcing the driver to surrender the cash. Witnesses said the gunfire caused panic among commuters and residents in the area.

The robbers reportedly fled the scene after the attack, leaving victims and eyewitnesses traumatized.
Following the incident, residents have appealed to the security agencies to intensify patrols along the Sunyani–Mim Road and other major routes in the area, citing growing concerns over armed robbery attacks.
They urged the authorities to swiftly investigate the incident, arrest those responsible, and strengthen security to protect motorists and residents from further attacks
