Will it not be appropriate if the Police and any other Officials involved in the assault are prosecuted, sanctioned, and imprisoned? The Police are the custodians of the Law but not above it.

It would be prudent and more satisfying if the officers involved are hurled through the criminal justice system by prosecution and if found culpable imprisoned. This will serve as a deterrent to those trigger-happy officers and weed out the bad apples in the police force. The satellite must focus on the officers involved and not the institution.

In other jurisdictions, financial sanctions are applicable, state institutions, encourage by politicians, can not abuse the rights of citizens and get away withit.The NPP, since the days of Kufour, having been abusing the rights of their political opponents. One would have thought, claiming to be democrats, and proponents of rule of law, they'll be guided by its ethics and tenants. They're worse than the PNDC and the NDC, they complained about. Using the judiciary as an extension of the NPP was the worst case of state sponsored abuse of power.
