The Ghana Police Service has arrested one Ebenezer Frimpong for allegedly stealing an armoured vehicle at the Nkawie Market in the Ashanti Region.
According to a post by The State News on X on April 16, 2026, the incident occurred after the driver briefly stepped out of the vehicle, leaving the engine running.
Frimpong, upon seeing the vehicle, drove off with it.
He was later pursued and arrested near Mim, where the armoured vehicle was successfully recovered.
The Police say investigations are ongoing, and Frimpong is expected to face charges related to the theft of state property.
