This is not the first time, these car theft is been going on since early 1980 , before there was no tracking device in the cars but now all the latest cars have a tracking device in them so they can trace the car wherever it goes. That’s why they can find the cars. In Uganda the same thing happened many expensive stolen cars were found over there and taken back to the UK because they drive right hand cars unlike Ghana left hand cars. So the Uganda people stole many cars from the UK because UK is the only country in Europe that drives right hand cars.

On point. I am surprise the security agencies worry their heads over such petty theft. By the way most the so called stolen cars are the work of a well orchestrated and a well oiled syndicate. In the mid nineties a car dealership in Europe approached if we could do business in shipping cars to Africa. I instantly agreed with him and we sat down to discuss business. His modus operandi shocked me to the bone so l told him l was not interested. At that time he had two brand new Audi A8 in his show room. He told me that he can drive the car to any port of my choice in Europe. From there l can ship it to Ghana or any destination of my choice in Africa. As soon as the car leaves Europe he will declare the car missing and with the connivance of insurance agent, the insurance company will pay the full cost of the car to him. Most of the expensive cars are not just picked up from the streets of Europe and America. It is the work of a cabal.

In fact, I think it's about time that the US, Canada and EU countries stage 'Ghana must go' protests because Ghanaian criminals and fraudsters are wreaking havoc. In under 2 months, at least 6 Ghanaian criminals gave been convicted and/or extradited for hundreds of millions in fraud, and dozens of stolen vehicles found or recovered from Ghanaian criminal syndicates. Ad this from a nation of only 30 million people?
Oh wait, I forgot, not everyone is as uncivilized and xenophobic enough to label an entire country's population as criminals simply because of the acts perpetrated by a select few.
Nonetheless, some of us just might start advocating for this, just so some of you numbskulls on this platform - majority of whom reside abroad - get a taste of their own medicine.

Law enforcement keeps warning the public to be vigilant and do due diligence when purchasing vehicles but they provide no avenue, no platform, no website for folks to check if a vehicle has been reported stolen. What stops Ghana police to work with Interpol to provide a web portal for buyers to check vehicle VIN? Yet they're busy seizing vehicles from unsuspecting buyers. What do they do with those vehicles anyway?
