Kudos, IGP, this is how to motivate and inspire honest personnel to continue to serve us, but not the bribe takers who deliberately kill cases or side with criminals just for kickbacks. God shall punish those corrupt personnel. They will get the dirty money but God will deny them life to enjoy the ill gotten wealth. Some of them put up hotels but get a stroke just upon retirement and die. That's how nature punishes such people. Honest personnel should continue and they will be recognized. Thank you IG

Ghana is proud of you for showing many that the police service is working and ready for action when called upon.

I humbly offer the following suggestion which I believe will help the Ghana Police Service minimize or eliminate roadside bribery or the common bribery and corruption linked to security agencies:
1. Develop a bi-weekly pay period scheme for staff at all of Ghana's security agencies. That is pay them on the 15th and 1st of each month. Find a way to pay them exactly every 14 days (29 paychecks in a year with the final paycheck coming around December 28th through 31st)
There is a psychological component to the bi-weekly payment that minimize bribery and corruption in majority of nations that practices bi-weekly payment scheme. A person on a once a month payment plan who runs out of funds shortly after the 2nd week of the month has to survive by foul means until the next month. A person who gets half his/her wage on the 15th through the 17th may run out by the 25th through the 27th of the month but can survive without temptation for 5 days (1st of the following month)
I'm passionate about the plight of our policemen and women because of the pay disparities that in no way compensate for the dangers and hazards they face each day when they walk away from family to go to work in their uniforms. My dear uncles were police officers and I lived knowing their sacrifices to the nation.
