  I have traveled to Nkwanta and spent about a week there. I also spent a number of days at Dumbai. It is just pathetic that people who live at such places will not think of the betterment of their community but stupidly follow ...

  I have traveled to Nkwanta and spent about a week there. I also spent a number of days at Dumbai. It is just pathetic that people who live at such places will not think of the betterment of their community but stupidly follow land and Chieftaincy disputes, killing their own and destroying properties. It is just shameful.
  The road to Nkwanta from Hohoe was almost totally not tarred and very dusty. Vehicles that ply those roads are not even fit to carry Cattle. No proper schools, hospitals and places of entertainment. Yet the people of the area follow Politicians who fool them to rise up and fight each other and destroy properties. This is one of the reasons why many Southerners refuse to take appointments to work there even on National Service. At a point in time in the early 1980s, there was only one qualified Professional Medical Doctor for the whole district. If the inhabitants behave like animals, who would want to take an appointment to work there? I will not, and ensure that none of my family members do. And then the people there complain bitterly that they have been neglected. What they are best at doing is stupidly follow Politicians for a bottle of APIO or some PITO. I pity the people of the area for their ignorance and stupidity.
