National Security, EOCO, etc, please zero in on the capital of Ketu North Constituency, DZODZE, which has become a hot zone for cocoa beans snuggling. The beans are brought from around the country. The Police in particular, CEPS are busily involved and connive to facilitate the snuggling. The beans are offloaded from trucks to numerous tricycles that ply from Dzodze through village paths leading to the Republic of Togo towns. The Police, in particular are making mistakes as they sabotage the state.

It has to change this nonsens behavior of arresting cocoa like it's drugs....those trucks loading goods are not stolen from farmers,they worked hard for it,and the buyers did pay for it....if COCOABOD need it,than pay the farmers serious prices not stealing from them for a low price and taking all the profit so easy.....

The panacea for this smuggling is fair price and prompt payments to our dear farmers of the commodity ..As an industry person, i can reliably tell you that the licenced buying companies do not even have money to buy the beans from these struggling and mistreated but hard working farmers...Their reason is that,they have not received payments for beans supplied to the Ghana cocobod for weeks and in some cases,months...This is where the attention is mostly needed and not these cacophony...The farmer has the commodity ready to sell to mother Ghana but poor governance has laid an obstacle .So the question is what is the farmer supposed to do in order to feed when there is no one to buy and pay him or her?These smugglers are only taking advantage of this gap and so if the government want this activity ceased,they should as a matter of urgency release funds to at least reduce this if no to eradicate it..
