So now he should be tried by a court. If the court says at the time he committed the murder, he was mentally unstable and therefore he should be freed, fine.

We need people like ASP Alhassan and co. who helped this man to gain his freedom. Some people who intentionally kill people sometimes go scot-free. See the innocent Ghanaians who were killed during the elections!

After 17yrs you say he's mentally fit to be integrated into society just like that? I'm just thinking that after the euphoria and the emotional support at the beginning, more needed to be done than just a provision store. Remember the guy has no training and experience in business and money management. Moreover, what will even drive him to disaster is when people including his own children begin to stigmatize him with his past sin. And if the business fails, the worse will happen.
