The Central Regional Police Command has launched a search for six suspects who escaped from lawful custody at the Kotokuraba Police Station in Cape Coast on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

"Six suspects have reportedly escaped from lawful custody at Kotokuraba Police Station in the Central Region. The suspects, Kofi Asifuah, Ernest Kojo, Ekow Arhinful, Toffic Faisal, Henry Kwofie and Innusah Addai, who are currently on the run, allegedly broke jail around 9:00 P.M. on September 11, 2025," the post stated.
According to the post, the suspects overpowered an inspector on duty.

"The Supervising Inspector at the Kotokuraba Police Station had sent for food for the inmates after they complained of hunger. It is alleged that the inmates later requested water to flush the WC as the taps were not flowing. In the process of opening the cell door to give them water, six of the eight suspects overpowered the Inspector and fled," it noted.
The Central Regional Police Command has appealed to the public to provide any credible information that could lead to the re-arrest of the suspects.
