Arrest of suspected JB killer has given MPs some relief – Nitiwul

Deputy Minority Leader, Dominic Nitiwul says the arrest of the suspected killer of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, JB Danquah-Adu, has given Members of the August House some relief.

“It gives us some bit of relief to hear that somebody has been arrested and that the police believe that they have caught someone that they were looking for. And for us, we are waiting to see the development as they come day-by-day, hour by hour”, he said.

Nitiwul, who is also the MP for Bimbilla, made this observation, Thursday, in an interview with Kasapafmonline.com moments after the arrest of the alleged 20-year old murderer.

He said the Minority will not be complacent with the arrest but rather will continue to partner with the Police to get to the bottom of the matter.

J.B Danquah-Adu was stabbed to death at his East Legon residence during the wee hours of Tuesday.

The police said they suspected foul play and launched forensic investigations into the case.

Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, who was also not enthused with the development, urged the Police to ensure justice for the family of the deceased.

According to Nitiwul, when one does a thorough analysis of the circumstances under which the former Abuakwa North legislator lost his life, it was obvious that “nobody with a human feeling will do such a thing”.
