Training these young men in coding and software applications does not guarantee their employment. The only way to impact on the lives of the youth is to employ them after their training.
As at now they are trained nurses and teachers in the country who are still unemployed for over three years.
Most of the trained nurses and teachers have left the country due to poor conditions or lack of employment. So what will be the use of training all these youth in coding and software and they can’t be employed?

Do Ghanians remember what happened to call centers in Ghana? As a presumed economist, Dr. Bawumia should know that prices /wages are dictates of supply and demand. Flooding the market with presumed coders/ programmers will render people who go to school to become programmers useless. With more programmers than is needed at any given time, employers would offer less wages for programmers in Ghana. At best some will take their skills and flee Ghana. If the intent is to entice foreign nations to set up shops in Ghana because of cheap wages for programmers then you better have continuous supply of electricity, abundant WiFi and sustainable and dependable internet services and infrastructure. But with the level of NPP corruption and falsehoods no outside nation will buy what the NPP is selling.

As for his current and past Vice Candidate the least said the better. It is extreme difficult to identify whatever her passion is in word and deed, not as Minister of Education and none as candidate. He created, campaigned for and relentlessly pestered us with "Digitisation" until it became a Ghanaian word.
