  Some of these crooked Ghana business persons have been bringing expired drugs into the country and distributing them to the pharmacies, clinics and hospitals. These crooks deal with their crooked counterparts in Eastern Europe who specialize in shoddy business practices. Once these expired drugs arrive at the ports in Ghana, some corrupt port officials are paid handsomely to allow the contraband to clear. Many are dying or getting sicker in Ghana as a result of these expired drugs constantly making their way into Ghana, leaving some families to falsely accuse others of witchcraft, poisoning or even falsely blame healthcare workers of incompetence or malpractice.

  How dumb can we be? Shouldn't medications from donor organizations be free from import duties? Several of our unscrupulous GRA/custom officers have multiple houses because the import duties collected are diverted into private pockets. What at all is wrong with us as a country? Are they waiting for the medications to expire?..a whole $45 million worth? Absolute stupidity.
